The Hotaru Coat Highlighters are specifically designed to prevent the chisel tip from deforming after long usage. The tip is coated on both sides with durable plastic and also allows you to highlight your notes accurately. You may also use this highlighter with a ruler without the concern of staining the edge of your ruler. The Hotaru series is also part of the eco-friendly Green Tombow project, in which 40% or more of the product itself is manufactured out of recycled plastic.
