Tsubame Fools University Notebook - Lined - B6 - 30 Pages
The Tsubame Fools Notebook is very popular among college students in Japan, which is why it is referred to as the 'University Notebook'. Tsubame's paper, named Fool's paper, was a response to the popular high end Foolscap paper from England at that time. (Fool's Cap was used as a watermark for paper long before, and it became a standard unit for paper size and a synonym for good paper.) This compact B6 sized notebook is easy to be carried around, and comes in two options including 30 pages or 60 pages.
Typically, when a paper is designed for fountain pen, it comes with a tradeoff. It's smooth, but it takes longer to dry. It often takes so long to dry that ink blotter is needed. Fool's paper, however, is not only smooth but it dries really fast too.
Other than the paper quality, the pages are produced with traditional lattice method with water-based ink, which does not interfere with fountain pen ink at all. To this date, they are still using the same traditional method with the same notebook design.
