Hello everyone! Christine here with an exciting announcement! On Thursday, April 6th, starting at 5:30pm, we'll be hosting our first Stationery Swap and Journaling Meetup at Yoseka Stationery! This event has two parts to it -- the Stationery Swap part and the Journaling Meetup part. I'll elaborate on both below. The Stationery Swap is partly inspired by the online stationery community and the common practice within that community of "destashing." When you destash, you share supplies you no longer use with others to make room for more things you will use. It's a great way to creatively recycle your supplies and give new life...

In our latest VP fountain pen, we made a new template to help us standardizing the line comparisons in new videos, and they are available for free to download now : ) The first line comparison video on Sailor was made in February 2021, when our shop remained closed due to Covid. In our early videos, we used COPIC Multiliner in 0.1mm, 0.2mm, etc to compare the exact line width. It was important for us to start a standard and do them correctly, and that’s what this Yoseka Nib Log is designed for. On our website, you can find the...

Arguably one of the most iconic and recognizable fountain pens in the world is the Pilot Vanishing Point. In our shop, customers ask to see and write with this pen all the time and it's always fun seeing how people react to seeing the retractable nib.  A Brief Background of Pilot Vanishing Point Released in 1963, Pilot launched the Pilot Capless with claims that it was the world's first capless fountain pen, thus its name in Japan, "Capless." In the US, this fountain pen is known as Vanishing Point. Of course, as with many boasts of historical "firsts," there were actually some predecessors...
