The initial idea of the 500 Colored Pencils set was first developed in 1992 by Felissimo. The current set of colored pencils is the fourth generation re-design of the original concept. It serves as a tribute to pencil craftsmanship by local Japanese artisans in Tokyo. While the vast majority of pencils are circular or hexagonal in shape, these colored pencils were designed to be square-shaped so that they are easier and more comfortable to grip. 5-Sided eraser by Kokuyo. The eraser comes with 5 different widths. The different widths are designed to erase small writing, especially in planner and notes. Sometimes, a standard eraser might accidentally erase multiple lines at the same time, but this is designed to erase precisely. The numbers on the eraser is the width (indicated on the side and also the ruler on the plastic cover). It goes from triangle (pointy with no width), 3mm, 4mm, 5mm to 6mm. The eraser erases nicely, and it's a convenient tool for students or anyone who takes lots of notes.

Kakuno, nicknamed smiley fountain pen, is many’s first fountain pen. The cute smiley faces and the colorful bodies make them a funner option than many other starter pens. We love how fine they write, how comfortable they hold in hand, and the fact Pilot put the efforts into making different smiley faces 😄 From left to right is their first edition to third edition. Wondering if they will come up with another smiley face. Maybe a laughing face like this one 😂? .

Designed by Kokuyo in 1959, the Sketch Book was originally made for engineers to use in their field surveys. It has a hardcover, making it suitable for note taking during work outdoors as the hardcover provides a surface to write upon. The paper is smooth and fountain pen friendly, and features a 3mm grid for easy drawing of diagrams or list making. Many comparisons have been drawn between Kokuyo’s Sketch Book and the popular Field Notes brand of notebooks, but we really like the Sketch Book’s hardcover, brightly colored covers, gold lettering and overall classic look.

SARASA Clip is designed with a large clip on the side. The clip is strong, and it’s easy to clip to pockets, notebooks and even in place of a real paper clip. These five colors were introduced in September 2016. At the time, there were already 40 other colors, but within a year these colors quickly became SARASA’s most popular ones. They are retro and vintage. They look familiar, but slightly different and unique. Around the same time, in Japan and Taiwan, “hand-copied quotes” started taking off on Twitter and Facebook. People would practice writing an inspirational quote, a joke...

We are really excited to introduce Sailor to our pen collection. New Sailor pens with their range of seven nibs are now available in store. Sailor was founded in 1911. The founder Kyugoro Sakata was given a fountain pen by a friend returning from the UK after studying at the Royal Navy. He was inspired and determined to start making fountain pens in Japan. Sailor became the first fountain pen company in Japan, and earned many more firsts in Japan -- first ballpoint pen in 1948, first ink cartridge in 1954 and first brush pen in 1972, etc.
In the 1970's, Sailor made...
